Dancing Tour by Street Friends in the Heart of Kuala Lumpur

People think they are hopeless for living on the streets- homeless, unshowered and avoided. That is just the society for being judgemental and unkind. If we could untap their most valuable resources, we will not only generate revenue for the country but also restore the dignity of the street folks.

But what is their most valuable resources? The streets are all they know and they know them best! They have lived weaving in and out every nook and cranny of Kuala Lumpur and they know the charms of the unseen pockets of the city like the back of their hand. Who else would know the stories that was birthed at Lorong Berangan or the history of Jalan Tengkat Tong Shin like these street friends.
At one of the wonders at a corner of Lorong Berangan
Yes, the once homeless will be your tour guide. They will show you the less beaten path (which adventurers love) and enlighten you with the locals' idiosyncracies. AirAsia's award-winning inflight magazine travel360 is collaborating with NGO Yellow House and the local government Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) to empower its people and beautify the city.

As a travel organization with a heart, AirAsia is always keen in pioneering or supporting initiatives like this especially creative ones. Unseen Tours is truely one of the most unique program straddling in both charity and tourism.
Unseen Tours is creative collaboration between travel360.com and DBKL to support the livelihood of the homeless while making the city beautiful
Mesmerizing murals
According to the founder of Yellow House, Syam Priah, Unseen Tours is not poverty tourism. The tours are not showing the poor side of Kuala Lumpur. In fact, it's the exact opposite. The tours have simply turned the weakness of our street friends into strength by giving them opportunity to create something that they are proud of and something that we can all appreciate.
The music adds anther dimension into life
Even if you think have pounded the pavements of KL day and night, the Dancing Tour is nothing like any tour you have been on. Driven by music emanated from a set of headphones each, the delirium is like a pill that washes the slightest blue in you.

Streets and lanes that used to look dodgy received face lifts from DBKL to enhance traffic and reduce crime rate
Tourists frequent the alleys to give warmth to the once notorious places

Attractive and vibrant murals
Wonderful place for photo shoots
I love Kuala Lumpur even more!

Scarier Experience at Nights of Fright 6 @ Sunway Lagoon

It isn't October if I do not get my dose of Halloween from the Festival of Fear! Despite saying that, I thought I would feel like a seasoned visitor already at my fourth visit to Sunway Lagoon's Nights of Fright (NOF6). I was expecting a leisure night of photoshoot with the ghouls and creatures, telling my friend there was nothing to be afraid of. But boy, was I wrong!

Sunway Lagoon is not letting you go through their park without shudders down your spine. Think you already know what is at the end of the haunted house? Don't laugh too soon...This year, Sunway Lagoon amped up their game and you are in for a world-class scare!

When I finally got hold of the elixir, look what awaits
Every night after sunset from 28th September till 31st October, thrill-seekers will brave through the countless horrors that await them in Sunway Lagoon Nights of Fright 6 (NOF6), which has been thoroughly choreographed and directed in collaboration with Lynton V Harris. They will eke the respect out of you for their costume, make up and superb scare tactics!

Jack-o-lantern
Sunway Lagoon's Festival of Fear
Wendigo is wicked!
Step into WENDIGO – THE LEGEND IN THE MIST, to discover the place of myths and monsters. In folklore tales, Wendigo appears as an evil cannibal-like spirit that devours mankind. Wendigo are said to have an insatiable hunger for human flesh – no matter how much they eat, they remain hungry. They are hungry. For you.
They are everywhere
PHOBIA: COULROPHOBIA – THE FEAR OF CLOWNS will terrify many who have an inexplicable fear for clowns. They are in your head. You are in their house. In this disturbing situation, we are confronted with our irrational fears. Many say that clowns are supposed to make you laugh. Wrong. Dead Wrong.
Waiting for you
Like nothing more than being scared out of your wits? Head down to the SCARYTALES THEATER for some hair-raising horror stories. Sitting around inside a dimly lit house, or in the woods sitting around in a circle, watching and listening to the storytellers cast their spell through a frightening tale. Sit quietly and listen to the stories of Pontianak’s, Toyols and Pocongs, to the sounds that surround you, for they will stay with you, long into the night.

Further heighten the chill in your bones at SLAUGHTERHOUSE 13 by visiting Chan’s slaughterhouse and meat-packing plant which has long been closed down and abandoned after a worker, Lee Lee Choong discovered a not so beefy body hanging on the hooks inside the freezer of Slaughterhouse 13. Was it the long banished son, Calvin Chan who had mysteriously disappeared months earlier after a arguement with his father?

Embrace the fear
This is no ordinary night at the museum! Join Jason, Freddy, Billy, and Michael Myers as you make your way through this celebration of celluloid horror characters. Face your fear by looking into the GHOST FACE – THE FACE TO MAKE YOU SCREAM IN UV3D. Surrounded by a thousand faces, your worst nightmare comes to life again and again in this house of fear!

Face the curse of the witches when rituals go wrong. Experience it first-hand as you enter at JAMPI where you get to meet the Salem Witch, Malay Dukun, Indian Witch, and Chinese Witch while they chant mantras and perform rituals. For those who seek for twisted pleasures of pain, enter the ENCLAVE OF TORTURE where we give you the closest representation of brutal mutilation.

Can you survive the apocalypse when you enter ZOMBIE ZOO? Something has gotten into the animals and keepers at our underground zoo set deep inside the mountain. They are now out of control. Zombie mayhem within humans and animals are eager to terrorize the guests as they set foot upon this horrifying zoo.

Jampi – Asian Rituals. “Jampi” a path of asian witches chanting mantra and performing rituals.

Haunted Shipwreck- The land of dead Pirates roaming in search for the haunted treasures.

Tanah Puaka – Cursed Land Step into the cursed land and walk carefully, don’t get caught!

Pico Laser Treatment for a Better Complexion by Premier Clinic

Pigmentation! Oh the loathe of my life. Be it pigmentation from acne, hormonal change or UV exposure we all wish there was a magic wand that can erase all of those for a flawless skin. That special wand has existed in the form of Q-Switch Laser before. As if that is not potent enough, Premeir Clinic now introduces a more capable treatment called the Pico Laser that is more effective and quicker in achieving desired results.

Premier Clinic Bangsar
Consultation session with Dr. Jaswine Chew
According to Dr. Jaswine, Pico Laser is more effective as it produces energy from sound wave, unlike Q-Switch Laser which exudes energy from heat wave. Its wavelength combination enables the ray to clear even tattoo ink colours more efficiently.

It delivers ultrashort bursts of energy into the skin in trillions of a second to disperse coloured particles so that the fragments of pigments can be easily absorbed by the body. After a few treatments, the unwanted discolouration would leave the skin.

The Pico Laser also induces pressure waves to stimulate the skin to create more collagen and restructure itself for a firmer complexion with enviable invisible pores. Dr Jaswine said the Pico Laser is amazing for:

  • Acne scars
  • Fine lines & wrinkles
  • Pigmented lesions
  • Tattoo removal

PicoSure with Focus features:

  • 15-minute treatments
  • Only 1-6 hours of mild redness – minimal downtime
  • Increased collagen and elastin resulting in dermal remodeling effect
  • Lightening and brightening that patients want
  • Safety in all skin types [1]

Hearing that, I wasted no time in trying my first Pico Laser treatment in Premier Clinic Bangsar.

Non invasive procedure that is more effective than the Q-Switch laser treatment

Finishing touch of moisturizer and sunscreen before I leave
Immediate effects of Pico laser
Premier Clinic's service by the staff is the kind that would not leave any space for complaints. Because I was rushing for another agenda, I skipped the numbing procedure. It was just slightly prickly and itchy during the first round. The second and third times were a breeze. Dr. Jaswine went over my face with the laser three times. She said it was tuned 3 times to different settings for different purposes.

In just 15 minutes, my face looked brighter with the immediate lightening some pigmentation. I was told that the best is yet to come and my skin would improve over a 2-week duration. The skin should be drenched with moisturizer and sunblock is compulsory over the next few days. I was expecting redness and itchiness but none of it happened. Being thick-skinned pays off, I guess!

I was gently prepped with moisturizer and sunblock and off I went to face the world again with an improved visage. Thank you Premier Clinic for always bringing us the most up-to-date technology in aesthetics!

Thank you Premier Clinic!
