Naked Restaurant KL @ Sri Hartamas

It was a Naked affair on my sisters birthday! Sorry to disappoint, but she wasn't in her bathing suit 😜. The family decided to celebrate my sisters birthday with pizzas and cocktails at this cozy and eclectically styled restaurant and bar. Ensconced in a corner lot, this eatery is spacious enough to house different environment suitable for gatherings, football viewing, meals or just drinks.

Like its name, the restaurant lives by a down-to-earth spirit, open and earnest, with cooking methods from Europe with a hint of Asian flavour. Quality control in the ingredients is apparent from the food served. Their pizzas, especially, is something people should know about. Scroll on.

Happy birthday little sister!

Fancy and cozy at the same time
A good slice of pizza is all it takes to light me up
Although not looking like pizza joint, a delivery motorcycle dedicated for pizzas caught my eye.  Naked's pizzas could rival those from famous pizza houses. All their pizzas are 12 inches in diameter. Its thin, crispy crust is one feature guest will enjoy as they are substantial yet not filling. The crust thinness allows more appreciation for its generous toppings and the good amount of cheese.

Fruitti de Mare Pizza RM42
Naked is one of the few places serving praisable fruitti de mare pizza. A cocktail of seafood is meshed with a layer of cheese thick enough to hide the toppings. But a bite quickly revealed the oceanic delights under the cheese as whole prawns and considerable cuts of calamari are thrown in. From the first bite, I have decided this to be my favourite.

Naked House Pizza RM45
Naked's signature pizza is the House Pizza which uses tender chunks of roasted cajun chicken breasts and mushrooms. I have to note that the onions made a sweet impression while the pickled jalapeno articulated every bite with a hint of heat. A good pick for those who likes chicken.

Pepperoni Pizza RM36
Its pepperoni pizza is simply polka-dotted with pepperoni slices! Straightforward but satisfying with pure beef pepperoni goodness.

Beef Wellington RM75
The Beef Wellington has medium tenderloin steak soaked in mushroom ragout. Cut through the flakes of the golden pastry and indulge in the juicy cutlets of beef cooked to the doneness of your choice. Add Au Jus (gravy) for a more toothsome experience.

Hot Wings RM26
Light eaters can opt for their hot wings either in Asian hot sauce or smoked sea salt or both. While the hot sauce will pander to those who loves the kick of chili, the smoked sea salt option gives a very enjoyable savoury crisp on the skin while still juicy inside.

Salmon Pasta RM34
No prize to those who can guess this dish at first taste as this plate of penne pasta is packed with salmon flavour. Al-dente pasta is drenched in tomato sauce nicely thickened with cream. The sauce that carries the flakes fallen from the sauteed salmon slices will have you licking the sauce from the plate.

Live performance. They let us dedicate my sister's favourite song while she cut the cake.
Happy Birthday!
We decided to have some some 'fruits' in the form of cocktails to conclude our celebration. The sexy Strawberry Margarita had me sipping non-stop from the ice slush mixed with tequila, triple sec, lime and lime juice.

The Tea for Mojitwo is unconventionally poured from a teapot into a cup with a slice of fresh passion fruit ready to stimulate your sour senses. A refreshing drink to fuel your chat all night long!
