Le Méridien sets the standard for variety when it comes to Ramadan buffet. There is no appetite that the Destinasi Rasa buffet cannot satisfy at Le Méridien Putrajaya. The buka puasa dining experience indeed reflects a one-stop destination for all. Extensive menus of Asian to Western cuisines will require you come hungry. Although in abundance, each item on the spread is prepared with quality.
Le Méridien teases by knowing the exact kind of food that appeals to the tongue. A fickle mind is expected when walking through the buffet because everything is so delicious!
Amid the abundance of food, there are some popular ones that cannot be missed. As if nasi lemak is not delicious enough, they decided to goreng it. Have it with daging dendeng, a dish which people line up to fetch with their tupperwares, if allowed. Also be blown away by how blissfully good the soda asam boi can be.
Chef Khairulnizam Mohd Rostam and his team have combined their culinary skills to create Nasi Lemak Goreng, Kambing Opor, Kari Kepala Ikan Utara and of course the crowd's favourite , Daging Dendeng which is by the recipe his grandmother passed on to him.
Stalls will feature the Le Méridein Putrajaya Burger Ayam Special, Mee Rebus Special, Ayam Penyet, Satay and for the first time, Lok Lok with curry, tomyam and clear soup. Other daily specials will be prepared at each of the five 'live' kitchens. If you are a fan of Japanese food, the sushi rolls, salmon and tuna in smoked and sashimi form are made available. Freshly grilled and roasted meat with signature sauces are also prepared daily for the enjoyment of all.
When it is time for dessert, an assortment of satisfying Malay kuihs, cakes , custards, jellies and a delightful chocolate fountain with marshmallow awaits. If you are keen to clean your palette with fresh fruits, help yourselves to tropical fruits, whole or cut. I found my favourite buah salak (snake fruit) smiling right back at me, calling me to pick as much as I please.
