The World of Tim Burton @ Pavilion Bukit Jalil 21st Mar- 30th Jul 2023

Take a deep dive into Tim Burton’s personal archive which represents the artist’s creative output from childhood to the present day, with over 500 drawings, paintings, photographs, sketchbooks, moving-image works, and sculptural installations focusing on the recurrent visual themes and motives.

The pop-up museum will include 10 thematic sections composed of paintings, drawings, photographs, videos, and media arts as well as a teaser into current Tim Burton projects provided to the visitors through the exact replica of Tim Burton’s personal work studio.

Timothy Burton is an American filmmaker and animator. He is known for his gothic fantasy and horror films such as Beetlejuice (1988), Edward Scissorhands (1990), The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), Ed Wood (1994), Sleepy Hollow (1999), Corpse Bride (2005), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) and Dark Shadows (2012), as well as the television series Wednesday (2022)

The World of Tim Burton has paved waves across prominent countries around the world since its debut in 2009, including China, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, Mexico, Belgium, Prague, and more. This year, Malaysia has been officially added to the line-up to experience this world-class event. Toybox Projects has dedicated their utmost hard work and efforts to the investment, negotiation, planning, and execution of such a world-class event in hopes for Malaysians to experience one of the world's most demanded forms of entertainment. Ramadan Seantero Dunia @ Checker's Cafe at Dorsett Kuala Lumpur

Dorsett Kuala Lumpur will take you off the runway on to a unique journey to challenge your taste buds of tantalising aromas across the continents at their all-day dining restaurant, Checkers Cafe’s Ramadan Seantero Dunia.

Introducing their newly appointed Executive Chef Mohd Azmi features iftar signatures from around the world to whet your appetite such as Lamb Shakshouka (Morocco) which is a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, Bukhari Chicken (Uzbekistan), the mouth-watering Bamia (Egypt) which is a meat and okra stew, Mashuai (Muscat) that is a fish speciality dish made by spit-roasting a whole fish which has been rubbed with oil and spices alongside Middle Eastern appetisers, mains and desserts including Tharid Lamb Chickpea which is a Turkish signature bread soup that is made from crumbled flatbread moistened with broth or stew.
