Starhill Gallery's biggest fashion event of the year returned for the seventh year and was spectacularly launched in Bukit Bintang's ultimate luxury fashion and lifestyle retail destination, the Starhill Gallery. Guests sipped on G.H. Mumm Champagne and Absolut Hibiskus cocktails amidst an abundance of glitz and glamour.

For the first timme in Malaysia, Starhill Gallery Fashion Week 2017 included a special fashion show featuring the latest Spring/ Summer and couture collections of Australian luxe-label
ae'lkemi designed by award-winning fashion designer
Alvin Fernandez. The ae'lkemi focus is on organic textile processes that represent femininity. The foundation of the ae'lkemi brand is luxury fabrics and contrasting textures, meticulously put together using precious seed pearls, Swarovski crystals and French lace appliques with a strong focus on the female form.

Kenzo celebrated the cultural euphoria portrayed in menswear and womenswear with garments characterizing expressions of freedom. Technical taffetas with metal snaps or drawstrings featured a more industrial feel to the design.

M Missoni showcased the Spring/ Summer 2017 collection this season by taking the upbeat and feminine woman as an inspiration for the lie. With the theme 'Glitter Glam' the free and youthful spirit of this line was enhanced with vivid colours and bold lines inspired by graphism to modern art to the hippie-folk movement.

McQ Alexander McQueen delivered a 90s interpretation of the 70s in its Spring/ Summer collection. Pop culture's infamous icons, David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Lydia Lunch were muses for this range. McQ translated the era and these enigmatic muses into garments of easy silhouettes, contrasting fabrics and jarring, provocating colours.

Valentino, is also welcomed on runway. This time, Valentino was inspired by the renaissance painting and also evoked historic Venetian textiles and quirky prints on ethereal soft dresses, shirts and smart trenches for daywear. Accents of appliques and movement of fabrics brought out a sense of sophistication and grace to the collection.

Celest Thoi debuted 12 beautiful pieces from her exclusive Newfangled collection. she collaborated with SARAKICHI, a fashion brand that produces modern garments using Tokyo's traditional dying techniques. This is their first time venturing out out from the bridal scene. This collection is all about thinking out of the box and playing with colours to make it vibrant , carefree, colourful and fun!

Nurita Harith is a ready-to-wear collection designer who revealed her collection of sultry and silky range inspired by the elegant Georgia Hamilton.
