Red Penguin @ TTDI

While exploring delivery meals during the MCO, I discovered a friendly neighbourhood eatery operating from Taman Tun that has something for every appetite. Their menu ranges from Western to Asian food, serving from biryani rice to burgers. I adore their burgers for their juicy marinated patties and have bookmarked this restaurant for their 100% pure fruit juices. They started by being an online restaurant and will be opening for dine-in soon in Taman Tun. As I tasted their rice, burger and pasta, I found the restaurant to be reliable for affordable and tasty meals.

Customers can make their meals a set with pocket salad, fresh fruit juice and soup. Add RM15 for all three, RM10 for any 2 and RM5 for any one.

A meal with my family at home from Red Penguin
Thank you abang delivery!
Pleased with the neat and biodegradable packaging
When it arrived, I was pleased with the presentable packaging that are biodegradable. Each item is properly labled and comes with a thank you note which gave me a warm sense of gratitute. My appetitie surely increased when feeling good!

Kashmri Briyani- Mutton Mutiny (Boneless) RM 8 comes with gravy and vegetable yogurt dalca
Fluffy bryiani rice infused with herbs and spices served with chunks of tender and flavourful mutton meat
Looking at the menu, their briyani rice range caught my eyes as it is described to be made from a 150-year-old family recipe. Ignoring it would be a crime. I had to test their expertise in cooking meat by ordering mutton biryani.

The order came in a generous portion fit for 2 persons. The biryani rice was unctuously loose and each grain was infused with herbs and spices. The chunks of mutton were tender and one can tell that deep marination was done. The dish is served with vegetable dalcha cooked with carrots, potatoes, brinjals, sliced cucumber immersed in cooling fresh homemade yogurt to clean the palate.

Maharaja Burgers- Beef RM16 comes with corn-based chips and Spicy Signature Malagueta Sauce.
You can choose between charcoal or sesame bun
Relishing the beef burger
Red Penguin just knows the equation to a mouth-watering stack of burger. A hefty 180g of homemade patty is brilliantly paired with an egg for a satisfying meal. The patty was well-seasoned and grilled with juices still locked in. Customers can choose between charcoal or sesame bun when they order any Maharaja Burger

Pasta- Tom Yum Seafood RM16

Bringing the best of the East and West, Red Penguin also features a range of fusion food. Sanders Grilled Chicken, Malagueta Deep Fried Chicken, Paprika Grilled Fish are some of them. The Spaghetti Tom Yum comes with prawns, clams and squid and makes a fulfilling meal.

Fresh juice RM8
Being a fan of fresh fruits, pure fruit juice captures my attention quick. Having tried their mango and watermelon fruit juice, I have to say that I have tagged Red Penguin as my go-to place for a refreshing pick-me-up.

Mango juice is so satisfying. Comes with pulp!
Love 100% juice!

Getting My Sexy Back with Premier Clilnic @ TTDI

Tired, dissapointed and nearly giving up.  I have been carrying a burden on my back for a long time. For many years, I have been looking for a trustworthy healer to resolve my misery. Scar creams, whitening solutions and such have just been money drainers. I then realized that only aesthetic treatment can cure the pigmentation on my back which has been taking toll on the way I dress and my confidence.
Excited for my treatment at Premier Clinic
Searching for good aesthetic treatment prods me to do research before I engage the suitable institution.

My considerations are:

1. Certified and authorized aesthetic physician
It is important that diagnosis is done by certified aesthetic doctors as treatment involves the health of the skin, the human's largest organ. Aesthetic boutiques which only assign beauticians to definitely do not gain my trust.

2. Professionalism and expertise
After making sure that I am engaging a proper and legitimate clinic, its professionalism and expertise is also crucial. Centers who pressure customers to walk out with products or packages have me fleeing before they can say goodbye. I would hands down vouch for sincere service.

3. Affordability
Price is something that is undeniably influential in my (and many people's) decision to engage a clinic. If I had to sell a kidney to get the treatment, I would have to leave the spots on my back. However, I would would be suspicious of dodgily underpriced treatments as technology is, a matter of fact, costly.
With Dr Nigel Ong
When I entered Premier Clinic, I felt I have entered a down-to-earth medical establishment. The environment was clean and organized with no overly pretentious display which suggests that the team is more invested in the results to prove their brand. I was amicably ushered into the doctor's consultation room soon after registration.
Dr Nigel Ong, explaining in detail what is Post Inflamatory Inflation (PIH)
Dr. Nigel Ong was all smiles throughout consultation and made sure that I understood everything from the cause of my problem to its solution. After just a few sentences into the consultation, I was relieved to hear that my condition is easily treatable. Dr. Nigel assured me that it was easy to treat the pigmentation and in no time, I will be having a smooth back.

What I like about Premier Clinic:

1. Professional and trustworthy doctors
My consultant was honest and sincere to bring the best out in me. They are professional in every way from inspection, to treatment to understanding my misery. I also have to say good job to Premier Clinic for making their website very user friendly and comprehensive. There was no 'luring' of customers the devious way. Everything I needed to know was displayed clearly for my informed decision.

2. Cutting edge machines
The machine used to treat my skin is one of the many latest equipment invested by the clinic to address almost any imperfection! The up-to-date machines indeed gave me confidence that their treatment is a result of stringent research.

3. Friendly staff and great service and no touting
Indeed their staff are always wearing a smile and accommodating demeanor. Most importantly, they did not pressure me into purchasing products or services. It was like having people who sincerely wanted me to be more beautiful.

4. Affordability
It was a pleasant surprise that these treatments are not impossible for me. I was expecting a starling celebrity price tag. All prices are transparently displayed on their website which makes me more comfortable in making plans and decisions.
Dr Nigel was very understanding during the consultation and assured me that my situation is treatable
At the base level of the most surface layer of the skin, epidermis, is where melanin is produced. Pigmentation occurs when more melanin are produced in one area of the skin.

This extra production of melanin is triggered by:
1. Hormonal change (beware during pregnancy)
2. UV because melanin is produced to protect the skin (that's why we have to avoid the sun)
3. Injury (in my case, acne!)
Dr. Nigel prescribing my treatment, the Q-Switch laser
Dr. Nigel prescribed the Q-switch laser which emits high energy light towards the affected area, reducing unwanted skin cells. The laser penetrates deeply without injuring the top layer of skin and encourages production of collagen and vital proteins. The Q-switch laser is very versatile and used for age spots, birthmarks, dull skin, skin whitening and even tattoo removal.
Just the beauty antidote I need in my life!
Treatment room
After consultation, I jumped straight into the patient's gown and laid on my stomach where the nurse thoughtfully adjusted the air conditioning temperature to my liking. The laser treatment only takes 15 painless minutes and 30 minutes of numbing with cream before that. Efficient and fuss free! After the treatment, I walked away without any downtime (no recovery period).

Premier Clinic's investment in the latest cutting edge laser machines

There is nearly nothing that you cannot correct in Premier Clinic!
They are confident in providing a plethora of aesthetic services. Just take a look at their website and choose your pick from the menu www.premier-clinic.com

It gives me an opportunity to invest in myself worry-free and at an affordable price. I'll definitely be back to reward myself more!

Kayra Authentic Kerala Cuisine @ TTDI

Indian food does not always have to come in the form of roti canai or banana leaf. Try a Thali meal next time! A Thali meal is an Indian and Nepalese meal made up of a selection of various dishes. According to Indian customs, a proper meal should be a perfect balance of all 6 flavours- sweet, salty, bitter, sour, astringent and spicy [1]
My Indian balanced meal today
There is a place in the Taman Tun neighbourhood where you can get your Thali fix. Kayra serves authentic Kerala cuisines that enriche your palate with the culture that comes with it. The first thing that I noticed about the restaurant is its cleanliness and simplicity in style.
Kayra Authentic Kerala Cuisine at TTDI
Modern and minimalist set up of restaurant
Cleanliness of restaurant is apparent
Ginger Chiller (Ginger, lime and apple juice) RM11.90
The Ginger Chiller was the drink of choice that day. A refreshing concoction of ginger, lime and apple juice quenches perfectly bringing temperature down from the sweltering afternoon and a standby extinguisher for the spicy dishes later.
Vegetarian Thali set meal RM13.90 (excluding drink)
The Vegetarian Thali is the basic set meal which comes with five dishes in ramekin bowls which consist of (from bottom left):
1. Avial- classic kerala mixed vegetable that has been cooked to a soft texture in coconut milk
2. Sambar- variation of dhal with spices
3. Thoran- this portion is the vege of the day. Crispy cabbage with a little spiciness
4. Pachadi- a beetroot dish cooked with mustard
5. Erissery- a mix of pumpkin and lentil with spices

The last 2 are raita (yogurt) which mellows the spiciness when it gets too hot and Payasam (dessert) to wash the palate.

Every set meal has the dish of your choice accompanying the Vegetarian Thali.
Ginger pickle is appetizing
On the sides make sure you find the brown blob which is the Kerala's Ginger Pickle which I find pretty awesome. It is appetizing enough to have rice eaten only with it. Ginger is cooked into a mash and sweetened. It does not have stark ginger taste, only comforting sweetness.
Seafood Molee as Thali set meal RM19.90
Ala carte RM14.00
Seafood Molee turns out to be one of my favourite. The golden yellow dish is non-spicy and infused with flavours of prawn and squid. Cooked in coconut milk and tumeric, its rich taste is not too cloying. I can go for a second plate of rice with its gravy.
Prawn Mango Curry as Thali set meal RM18.90
Ala carte RM12.90
The Prawn Mango Curry has a very engaging flavour that keeps you going for scoops. Prawns are juicy and fresh.
Chicken as Thali set meal RM15.90
Ala carte RM8.00
The Roasted Chicken is rolled over fire and coated with curry. If you are a fan of spiciness, this flavourful dish could satisfy you.
Fried chicken as Thali set meal RM15.90
Ala carte RM8.00
The Fried Chicken is a joy to have for non-spicy eaters. Well seasoned and evenly fried, its crisp is light on the outside and juiciness sealed inside.
Fried fish Thali set meal RM17.90
Tenggiri fish is a loyal item in Indian restaurants. The Fried Fish is lightly fried and its natural flavours did the talking.
Mutton Thali set meal RM17.90
Ala carte RM9.90
The Mutton dish is infused with sufficient spices and not too overwhelming sans the gamy odour. The meat however could be more tender.
Chicken Biryani served with onion raita RM17.00
Chicken Biryani is a safe option with fragrant rice accompanied by onion raita (yogurt)
Spicy Kerala Chicken Wrap served with raita RM13.90
For those who wants a lighter meal, the Spicy Kerala Chicken Wrap is a good choice. As its name suggests, Spicy Kerala Chicken Wrap will make your tongue a little hot. Shredded chicken meat is well mixed with the sauce. Dip it into the raita (yogurt) to balance up the spiciness.
Ending on a sweet note with Payasam of the day as dessert
Comes in a ramekin bowl with set Thali
Ala carte RM10.00
I ended my Keralite adventure with Payasam which is a blend of banana, grape and brown sugar. It tastes comforting with a good bodied texture. It is not too cloying and tastes better than it looks. Desserts differ from day to day.
