Rasa-rasa Briyani @ Dorsett Hartamas Kuala Lumpur

Looking at the offerings at Rasa-Rasa Briyani at Dorsett Hartamas made me impatient for Ramadan to arrive.  Available from 13 th April to 10 th May 2021, Rasa Rasa Briyani offers a choice of briyani sets:

Chicken at RM68 nett (2 persons) 
and 
lamb or beef at RM88 nett (2 persons) 

All sets come inclusive of dalca sayur, acar rampai, papadom, telur rebus, buah kurma, 2 types of local kuih, pudding jelly, fruits cocktail, bubur kacang hijau and air bandung selasih. 

The deal was a pleasant surprise as the complete serving, generous portions, elegant ambiance and attentive service could very well worth more than its current price.

My friend and I had a worry-free dinner as social distancing was enforced with the next table being 1.5m away from us. With soft music ventilating the atmosphere, we had a comfortable evening over delicious briyani dishes.

Lamb comes out to be customers' top pick. I am one of the voters as the meat is tender and infused with adequate herbs and spices.
The chef sure knows how to pack the pot with ingredients without overdoing it.

Hilton Petaling Jaya welcomes guests to break their fast at its Halal-certified all-day dining restaurant, Paya Serai, with an assisted buffet dinner specially curated in honour of the celebrated artist, Tan Sri P. Ramlee.

The tribute is taken up a notch with a special display of Tan Sri P. Ramlee’s mementos, which include his typewriter, clothes, trishaw and other antiques. On top of that, the restaurant will also be airing some of the seniman’s award-winning films and chart-topping music throughout the dining session to keep guests in jovial spirits.

This assisted buffet dinner is part of the nationwide “Chup! Makan Dulu” promotion by Hilton hotels in Malaysia. A classic Malaysian slang, “Chup” is synonymous to the word “pause” and is often used to interject someone in a playful and friendly manner. Through this campaign, the brand wishes to remind Malaysians to take a break from their hectic day-to-day and enjoy quality time with their loved ones over a hearty meal at Hilton.

A homage to the legacy of the great Malaysian artist, Paya Serai’s assisted buffet dinner will showcase over 300 delicacies featuring his favourite dishes as well as special items inspired by his arts. There will also be live cooking stations, which are aptly named after the artist’s films and music. Pop by ‘Mamak Corner Simpang Enam Komtar’ for some sizzling stir-fried Penang-style noodles or ‘Ali Baba Bujang Lapok’ for a taste of Arabic dishes. Available in sets for 5 persons, the menu will be kept on a daily rotation throughout the week so that guests get to savour a variety of classic Malay dishes.
