It is always exciting at Sky Avenue, Genting's latest lifestlye mall. Just after their inaugural fashion week, they brought New York City to the peak!

The birthplace of Motorino Pizza, Brooklyn is the most populous of New York City's 5 boroughs. 

So what did we do at Brooklyn Day Out at Sky Avenue Genting? Chillin' and eatin' just like a New Yorker baybeh!

When you are at Sky Avenue Genting, remember to catch their Sky Symphony at the atrium level 1. I love being entranced by their magical show.

Sky Symphony is the largest permanent winch installation in Asia. Watch how the ceiling comes to life and forms a spectacular dance!

There are 3 theme shows which you can catch every day, every 2 hours from 10am to 6pm and 6pm till midnight every hour.

Celebrating Mother's Day at Sky Avenue @ Resorts World Genting

That Sunday, I jumped out of bed early and all excited. I went to my mother who is still sound asleep and pretended to be like an alarm clock...like how she used to wake me up for school. Then I chose her clothes and laid it on the bed for her...just like how she used to lay it for me when I was young. Then I matched her earrings with a pearl bracelet which looks exactly like mine. "Happy Mother's Day, Ma. Let's go!" and off we went to Sky Avenue, Genting.

Mom and I enjoyed a refreshing panoramic view of the Chocolate Forrest in a glass gondola. The feeling of having lush vegetation of Banjaran Titiwangsa just below our feet is quite breathtaking.

A full gut called for a walk to make some space for dessert later. With more than 70 retail and dining outlets opened so far, there is plenty to see and shop at the latest lifestyle mall. We will soon be acclimatized by the sights that we used to only see 6000 ft down from here. The mall is home to most of the big brands we have in mind like Thomas Sabo, Calvin Clein, Charles & Keith, Bonia, Lazo Diamond, Adidas and Samsung.

Resorts World Genting raised to the occasion to give mothers perambulating in the mall a treat of entertainment with an impressive flash mob. There were dancers thrusted into the air and acrobatic stunts between frisky dance moves. Carnations were give out to moms too!

Senator Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development was also present to grace the Mother's Day celebration which also lauded the sacrifices of single mothers invited from Raub.

Dessert is made more interesting with stalls like Gong Cha, Tokyo Secret, Just Heavenly, Madame Waffle and Inside Scoop all congregated together. After the scrumptious meal at Morganfields, mom literally had a sweet time enjoying delectable delights at the English Courtyard at Sky Avenue.

Look Through Glass at The New Awana Skyway@ RW Genting

As if it is not exciting enough to be transported in a cable car, Resorts World Genting now can send you up to a mountain 6000ft above sea level in a glass bottom gondola! Joining holiday destinations like Langkawi, Singapore and Hong Kong, Genting now can boasts their much awaited glass gondola available at the new Awana Skyway. What can be better than an uninterrupted view of the beautiful Titiwangsa range vegetation.

The new cable car at the Awana Transportation Hub to Sky Avenue

Out of the 99 new gondolas, only 10 gondolas are built with glass bottom where visitors can enjoy a birds eye view of the beautiful forest and Twentieth Century Fox World theme park. Departing from the Awana Transportation Hub, the cable car will stop over Chin Swee Temple in 6 minutes from departure, making the place of worship even more accessible and attractive.

Every gondola is fitted with not only one but two life savers- the USB port, allowing visitors to charge their mobile phones for lots more photo taking when they reach the top!

Totally immersed in the view

The new system is slightly faster, offering a shorter ride than the old Genting Skyway that is 3.4 km long. The cable cars will escalate visitors to 620 meters in a 2.8 km journey that takes 10 minutes. Genting Skyway will be temporarily closed while Awana Skyway is in operation. Both systems will take turns to ferry customers.

Express boarding pass can be purchased at RM40

Awana Skyway opens 7 days a week from 7am- 12 midnight

Visitors can take cabin-sized luggage on board the gondola while larger luggage can be stored at the new Awana Bus Terminal for RM5 for 24 hours

Reaching the peak, the newly opened Sky Avenue greets guests with a majestic display of LED screens at the pillars and any vantage points. Sky Avenue allows a satisfying shopping experience by housing all the retails and brands that you can think of.
