Snoopy and Charlie Brown have arrived in Sky Avenue Resorts World Genting to show you how Christmas is celebrated the Snoopy way, with lots of fun and cuteness! In Sky Avenue, you will see the famous beagle replicate itself in corners of the mall, donning 52 iconic costumes from all over the world.

Thirteen Snoopies of different citizenship surround the majestic 20-foot high Christmas tree backdropped by a four-storey high LED screen. The ceiling comes to live with a stunning show with its audio, visual and motion graphics that features 1001 winch balls. The production of this Christmas edition costs over RM500,000 surely adds to the buzz and boost up the spirit of Christmas. 

Awe at the amazing winch-ball show which is the largest permanent winch installation in Asia. Don't be shy to whip out your cameras for recording as you will find everyone doing the same. A testimony that it is too good to be missed. Watch out for the jaw literally dropping!

From 1st December until 31st December, besides the Genting Spectacular SkySymphony Christmas Show at every 2-hour interval, there will be three other stories namely The Forest, Urban Symphony and The Goddess being showed every hourly after each Christmas show. Show starts from 10 am to midnight daily.

The larger-than-life 6m inflatable Snoopy Santa

Along with festive icons including Santa Claus, eleves and santarinas, Snoopy and Charlie Brown will take to the streets and go on parade. The colourful characters complete with Christmas tree floats will meet and greet visitors as they spread festive cheer at Level 1, SkyAvenue daily from 11.00 am to 11.30 am, 3.00 pm to 3.30 pm and 8.00 pm to 8.30 pm.

At Level 3 SkyAvenue daily, from 1.00 pm to 1.30 pm and 6.00 pm to 6.30 pm.

Porky Goodness at Morganfields @ Resorts World Genting

Just the sound of Morganfields make me salivate. Its famous pork ribs that need no touting can actually make me do anything to get a bite of it! Now, it has reached 6000 ft above sea level at Sky Avenue. Morganfields became my choice for Mother's Day lunch that Sunday...so that I am not dethroned as her favourite daughter. Kidding...my mom is very fair when it comes to her two daughters. Check out my Mother's Day celebration here.

Located at a spacious corner at the English Courtyard concourse, the spanking new outlet is adorned in Southern American spirit. Lit with scintillating bulbs hanging down from roofs that matches the wooden floor and casual furniture, the restaurant gives a rugged atmosphere. While waiting for food, there are plenty of photographs of celebrities who visited and catchy phrases on posters to keep you entertained.

To whet our taste buds, mom sipped on a refreshing glass of Cucumber, Apple and Mint Sprits while I had to try their new mojito that comes with an assam boi (sour plum), lime chunks and mint leaves in a soda.

Fourplay Appetizer Plate RM 55.90 nett

The Fourplay Appetizer plate...or tray...was generous with the four of their most delicious appetizers. Spicy chicken wings are glazed with sweet sauce and chilli while the russet potato is prepared with lots of cheese and bacon sprinkles. Dip those battered onion rings and tortilla into their creamy Crab and Spinach dip. However, a little caveat, this tray is meant to be shared. If not, there won't be space for the absolutely divine main course!

Our half slab has arrived and it got me clapping like a child. My mother baffled, I told her that this will definitely blow her away although she is a cook with high demands. The Garlicky BBQ Spare Ribs is redolent of the aroma of garlic and thoroughly coated in Hickory BBQ sauce with a smokey undertone. Meat is tender and succulent enough to be torn from the rack with bare fingers. 

It is evident that they take marination seriously as the mouth-watering flavours penetrated deep into the bones. My mother caught me munching on the softbones to savour the unique flavour. All their ribs are slowly smoked with hickory wood to give the meat what Morganfields believes to be the best BBQ flavour. Served with crispy french fries and coleslaw.

I was asking the manager to make the Sizzling Pork Loin Chop a permanent item on the menu. It is a waste that the juicy block of pork chop is only available until 30th June 2017. Laced with homemade mushroom brown sauce (another option is the homemade rosemary peppercorn sauce), the chop is empowered with flavours of mushroom with a tactful tangyness.

Look Through Glass at The New Awana Skyway@ RW Genting

As if it is not exciting enough to be transported in a cable car, Resorts World Genting now can send you up to a mountain 6000ft above sea level in a glass bottom gondola! Joining holiday destinations like Langkawi, Singapore and Hong Kong, Genting now can boasts their much awaited glass gondola available at the new Awana Skyway. What can be better than an uninterrupted view of the beautiful Titiwangsa range vegetation.

Out of the 99 new gondolas, only 10 gondolas are built with glass bottom where visitors can enjoy a birds eye view of the beautiful forest and Twentieth Century Fox World theme park. Departing from the Awana Transportation Hub, the cable car will stop over Chin Swee Temple in 6 minutes from departure, making the place of worship even more accessible and attractive.

The new system is slightly faster, offering a shorter ride than the old Genting Skyway that is 3.4 km long. The cable cars will escalate visitors to 620 meters in a 2.8 km journey that takes 10 minutes. Genting Skyway will be temporarily closed while Awana Skyway is in operation. Both systems will take turns to ferry customers.

Outside the 1920s New York styled restaurant, there is always a group of audience peering through the glass window, looking hypnotized by the acrobats of the pizza maker. The brick oven holding wood-fueled flames and fed with handmade pizza never fails to garner attention. One of Genting's most lavish investments, Motorino, ensures that their dedication to pizza is like no other. Although in an American setting, the restaurant commits to serving authentic Italian Neopolitan pizzas.

1. Crazy hot! It is cooked in a special wood-fired oven at 800-900 degrees Celsius

2. Timing. Perfect timing for a pizza so that it is not under cooked or overdone is between 60-90 seconds and well rotated.
