CSheon Personalised Designer Leather Bags, Purses, Gifts, Wallet, Clutch and Jewelry

CSheon caught my attention because it was introduced as a Malaysian-based brand before anything else. A brand so true to its own origin already deserves support from fellow compatriots like me. It prodded me to learn more about it. When its website sprung up, I liked what I saw and I am pretty sure it what they offer is capable of garnering likes from people with the penchant for fashion and leather whether Malaysian or not.

CSheon is independant designer brand that prides on their craftsmanship and takes their leather seriously. All their pieces are made from genuine leather. Every strip of leather is hand picked from legal sources and scrutinized for quality. From ostrich to bats to crocodiles and sting ray, I was amazed by the range of leather they can handle. Each piece is designed by its own team and made entirely by hand locally in Malaysia. From hand cutting to hand sewing, they strive to preserve the art of traditional hand leather making craftsmanship.

I laid my eyes on the Alestro and the Box Bag. They embody the personality that I want to express in my accessories. I like it that the leathers are pigmented with vibrant colours and combined in trendy and stylish designs. Styles range from elegant to edgy. You would concur if you looked at their catalogue.

My first CSheon leather piece
Sting Ray leather on gold plated ring
CSheon pieces are not only chic in design. They can be custom made to exude your personality. I like that CSheon gives customers the opportunity to express their uniqueness. From the handle, to the colour of the frame and to your initials, you can create your item with a range of colours, textures and finishes. What makes a designer piece more valuable is of course a sprinkle of your own taste which makes your masterpiece inimitable.

Customize your bag according to your style
Back to appreciating the brand with character, CSheon also brings value through its business. Each piece gives a job opporutinity to their female partners. Underpriviledged women are trained to assist in the production.

CSHEON’s ‘providing for women’ started back in 2015. They were looking for artisans /workforce to create their products. When they advertised for people who are passionate and loves art and leather-making, they received many feedbacks especially from underprivilledged ladies who were hoping to grasp some opportunity for survival.

CSHEON provides guidance and training from their ‘In-House Leather Artisans’ trained in Florence, Italy in leather making. Free professional courses on leather making were given so that these ladies can earn an extra skillset to earn extra income.

Every piece comes with a certificate of authenticity
CSHEON was founded by Carmen Sheon back in 2016. She created the original designs for the CSHEON Collections and founded a team to dedicate to making made to order leather pieces.

They are available in Robinsons Four Seasons KL and Zalora MY.

Online Private Home Tuition Malaysia Booking

Private Tutors in Malaysia : Four things you need to know

In Malaysia, most of the parents are working full-time and thus seldom have time to guide their children’s studies. It is also difficult to keep up with the latest syllabus as it is always changing. Therefore, most of the parents send their children to tuition centres/home tuition in Malaysia. Here in Malaysia, we are truly blessed with many great learning centres and tuition centres. On top of that, we have the convenience and possibility of hiring a home tutor who can guide our children at their own learning pace.

1. Benefits of hiring a private tutor for your kids

1. Private home tutor can save time. If you are in big cities such as Penang, Kuala Lumpur or Johor Bahru, chances are that you experience traffic jam while on the road during peak hours. Imagine that if tutor comes to your house and teach your kid, wouldn’t that save a lot of time, which can be used in a better way?

2. Private home tutor can provide personalised attention. Whenever your children have problems with academic/homework, they can ask the tutor directly during the lesson. Any mistake or problem could be pointed out and corrected by the tutor immediately.

3. Private home tutor teach at student’s learning pace. This advantage is very important when the student faces difficulty in a certain subject such as mathematics, tutor could teach at a pace where the student can follow since it is one-to-one home tuition.

4. Private home tutor can provide flexibility in arranging timetable. When student has a change in school plan, he/she may want to change the tuition time, home tutor usually allows it as compared to tuition centre where the time needs to be followed by a large group of students.

5. Private home tutor can also assist with specific learning obstacles. Be it dyslexia, ADHD, attention issues or behavioural problems, a specialised and experienced tutor can help the student to achieve their best.

2. How many different types of private tutors are there?

In general, private home tutors can be grouped into 3 categories:

a) Student Tutors. These tutors are young and friendly, usually aged 18 and above. They are recent college graduate or diploma graduate. Their rates are lower and their timing is also more flexible, usually teaching primary school students.

b) School Teachers. These tutors are also school teachers. They are certified by the Ministry of Education and are always updated with the latest school syllabus. Thus, they usually charge higher price, however, timing may not be so flexible compared to student tutors.

c) Graduate/Undergraduate tutors. These tutors are usually part-timers, who are still studying at university. They are good role models for the students as they can show them the possibility of entering into great school when they are adults. Thus, they provide students with the motivation to pursue great results. Prices are between what student tutors charge and school teachers charge.

3. What are the rates of private tutors?

The rates depend on qualification and experience. Below is the average price per hour for all subjects (Mathematics, Science, Mandarin, English, Bahasa, etc) extracted from www.myqualitytutor.com

When comes to learning, parents should treat education as investment because knowledge will
change the student’s life. Thus, for a long-term view, having home tutor could greatly improve
student’s academic and thus a wider option of opportunities in future.

4. I’ve decided to hire a home tutor, what should I do next?
Many parents usually hire tutors based on recommendations from other parents. In addition, parents could also hire private home tutors through tuition providers such as My Quality Tutor, My Private Tutor, Tuition Hero and Champion Tutor. Engaging these agencies are usually free-of-charge, what parents have to do is just submit forms through their website. Of the many platforms, My Quality Tutor is very user friendly and has a list of recommended tutors for me to pick from based on past reviews. Also, the coordinator, Mr Hong clearly understands what the parents want and provide the suitable qualified tutor profiles. They have more than 10, 000 private home tutors in Malaysia.

Red Penguin @ TTDI

While exploring delivery meals during the MCO, I discovered a friendly neighbourhood eatery operating from Taman Tun that has something for every appetite. Their menu ranges from Western to Asian food, serving from biryani rice to burgers. I adore their burgers for their juicy marinated patties and have bookmarked this restaurant for their 100% pure fruit juices. They started by being an online restaurant and will be opening for dine-in soon in Taman Tun. As I tasted their rice, burger and pasta, I found the restaurant to be reliable for affordable and tasty meals.

Customers can make their meals a set with pocket salad, fresh fruit juice and soup. Add RM15 for all three, RM10 for any 2 and RM5 for any one.

A meal with my family at home from Red Penguin
Thank you abang delivery!
Pleased with the neat and biodegradable packaging
When it arrived, I was pleased with the presentable packaging that are biodegradable. Each item is properly labled and comes with a thank you note which gave me a warm sense of gratitute. My appetitie surely increased when feeling good!

Kashmri Briyani- Mutton Mutiny (Boneless) RM 8 comes with gravy and vegetable yogurt dalca
Fluffy bryiani rice infused with herbs and spices served with chunks of tender and flavourful mutton meat
Looking at the menu, their briyani rice range caught my eyes as it is described to be made from a 150-year-old family recipe. Ignoring it would be a crime. I had to test their expertise in cooking meat by ordering mutton biryani.

The order came in a generous portion fit for 2 persons. The biryani rice was unctuously loose and each grain was infused with herbs and spices. The chunks of mutton were tender and one can tell that deep marination was done. The dish is served with vegetable dalcha cooked with carrots, potatoes, brinjals, sliced cucumber immersed in cooling fresh homemade yogurt to clean the palate.

Maharaja Burgers- Beef RM16 comes with corn-based chips and Spicy Signature Malagueta Sauce.
You can choose between charcoal or sesame bun
Relishing the beef burger
Red Penguin just knows the equation to a mouth-watering stack of burger. A hefty 180g of homemade patty is brilliantly paired with an egg for a satisfying meal. The patty was well-seasoned and grilled with juices still locked in. Customers can choose between charcoal or sesame bun when they order any Maharaja Burger

Pasta- Tom Yum Seafood RM16

Bringing the best of the East and West, Red Penguin also features a range of fusion food. Sanders Grilled Chicken, Malagueta Deep Fried Chicken, Paprika Grilled Fish are some of them. The Spaghetti Tom Yum comes with prawns, clams and squid and makes a fulfilling meal.

Fresh juice RM8
Being a fan of fresh fruits, pure fruit juice captures my attention quick. Having tried their mango and watermelon fruit juice, I have to say that I have tagged Red Penguin as my go-to place for a refreshing pick-me-up.

Mango juice is so satisfying. Comes with pulp!
Love 100% juice!

Being the gateway and the centre of Malaysia, Selangor has an impossible number of food choices from around all the 14 states of the country. Due to Selangor’s history of former migration back in the early years, some of its settlers were people from different background and country that have resulted Selangor to become culturally diverse. Hence, making the food rich in flavours! Now, giving you the best of Selangor, we highlight here the traditional flavours for you to try making at home.

Pecal
Pecal is a common appetiser that can be found just about anywhere in Selangor. Known to be a traditional Javanese salad that merely consists of vegetables topped with a mouth-watering peanut sauce that can also be served with Ketupat or Lontong. The preparation in making Pecal is extremely simple so you can easily try it at home at any time! The key ingredients to prepare this dish are peanuts or groundnuts for the gravy or which we call ‘kuah’, tofu, bean sprout, long beans and cucumber. It is that easy.

Nasi Ambeng
Nasi Ambeng is usually served in a form of a platter which can be shared with four to five people per serving. It consists of a variety of food choices that will just blow your mind. Sambal Taun
Known as Sambal Taun or Sambal Tahun, this unique dish is famous among Selangorians. It originates from the Javanese early settlers and has become a traditional food of Selangor ever since. This dish is said to be spicy because of the amount of chili used in its preparation. Hence, the name sambal. Here in Selangor, the protein is taken from cow skin but it is commonly switch to either clams, cow lungs or even anchovies, according to one’s preference. Other ingredients needed to complete this one of a kind main dish are red onions, garlic, shrimp paste, coconut milk, oil, tamarind paste, a pinch of salt and sugar. In the past, it is believed that this dish was served during Eid celebration!

Wadai Kipeng
In the tongue of the Banjar people, ‘Wadai’ predominantly means ‘Kuih’, while ‘Kipeng’ is refers to pieces. Back in the day, it has been traditionally practiced by the Banjar community to plate up Wadai Kipeng on their Thanksgiving ceremony! It goes without saying, to prepare this porridge-like dessert, the must-have ingredients are glutinous rice flour, coconut, palm sugar, granulated sugar and some pandan leaves! This is a perfect sweet ending to your meal.

Bahulu Kemboja
We named it the ‘old-timers’ favourite traditional kuih that is still popular up to this day. Bahulu Kemboja can be served whenever you like, be it for breakfast, or even during teatime, well you choose! Having its own speciality, this kuih is sold widely but it is undeniably though to find one that taste as original as the Selangor one today. You can always try making one at home and you may be surprised at what good of a cook you are! To maintain the uniqueness and moisture of the kuih, the ingredients needed are original pandan essence straight from its leaves, wheat flour, rice flour, some coconut milk, eggs, sesame seeds for topping and of course, sugar and salt to give taste!
